Landscaping & garden design · Surrey

56 enquiries. Eight weeks. One connected pipeline.

A design-and-build landscaping company in South West London and Surrey had excellent reviews but little search presence beyond its name. We rebuilt the site, expanded local search coverage and connected every enquiry channel.

Figures supplied for the first eight weeks after the mid-August 2026 launch. Spam, suppliers and existing customers are excluded. £420,000 is estimated pipeline value: 56 enquiries × £7,500 average job value. It is not booked or earned revenue, and many quotes remained open. Search figures below compare equal 36-day windows before and after launch. These results are not a promise of future performance.

The short version

Where they started

An in-house garden designer and its own build crews, delivering patios, driveways, decking and full garden transformations. The old one-page website barely appeared beyond branded searches: around 105 impressions and two Google clicks a day in the five weeks before launch.

What we did

A full rebuild around design, build, then planting and aftercare. Ten service pages, 30 town pages, 152 service-in-town pages and 20 project write-ups formed part of a 222-page indexable site. Google Business Profile management ran alongside one pipeline for web, WhatsApp, phone and email enquiries.

What happened next

The new site launched in mid-August 2026. In its first eight weeks, 56 new enquiries entered the pipeline, 52% reached quoting or beyond, and four jobs were won. WhatsApp was the largest enquiry channel.

From a strapline to a clear offer

The old hero led with a brand strapline and quote button, followed by a photo grid and reviews. It did not clearly explain the services or coverage. The rebuild answers what the company does, where it works and why homeowners should trust it.

Its in-house designer produces a scaled plan and 3D visual before the build, and its own crews complete the work. Each job receives a fixed written quote after a site visit. Most projects fall between £5,000 and £40,000, averaging around £7,500. The supplied client ratings are 4.9 on Google and 9.86/10 on Checkatrade.

Local search coverage, connected to real work

The structure combines core services, towns and high-value service-in-town searches across a 30-town service area. Town pages use local garden context, neighbouring towns, real projects and local reviews rather than swapping place names into identical copy.

Service pages include pricing guidance, what every quote covers, nearby projects, reviews and FAQs. The homepage links to services and towns; services link to projects; town pages link to local services, projects and neighbouring towns. Twenty project write-ups supply locations, materials and photos.

Across equal 36-day windows, Google impressions rose from 3,798 to 25,189 (+563%) and organic clicks from 77 to 113 (+47%). There were 186 new service, town and project pages appearing in results. The supplied report recorded 257 non-branded local searches averaging a top-10 position, including 76 in the top three. Average positions are observations over the report period, not guaranteed rankings.

Enquiries ready to quote

A qualifying quote form asks for postcode, service and budget on the homepage and contact page. The quote button remains available in the header and closes service and town pages. Click-to-call and WhatsApp give homeowners alternative ways to make contact.

Every inbound enquiry enters one pipeline, tagged by source and tracked through first contact, site visit, quote sent, quote accepted and work completed. This connects the initial enquiry to the next action instead of leaving it in a separate inbox.

Real client reviews and nearby projects support the decision across homepage, service and town pages. These reviews describe the landscaping company's work, not Steady Work's service.

Built for the way homeowners get in touch

The mobile site uses a single-column layout and a fixed bottom bar for call, WhatsApp and quote. WhatsApp became the largest enquiry channel, so contact options stay within reach while a homeowner looks through the work.

The takeaway is coverage with substance: clear services, genuinely local pages, real projects and one tracked enquiry process. The pipeline figure describes potential work, while the four won jobs are reported separately.
