Plumbing and heating · Northumberland
No website. No Google profile. First job paid for the site.
A time-served plumber and heating engineer, newly out on his own after six years in a partnership, had no website, no Google profile and an old Facebook page he was locked out of. We built a brand book from his van, a 77-page website, the Google Business Profile from scratch and a lead system behind it all.

The numbers
- Covered the cost of the site
- 1st job
- Enquiries booked themselves in
- Multiple
- Pages on the site
- 77
- Experience behind him
- 20 yrs
Reported by Jonny after launch: several enquiries have come through the site and booked themselves in, and the first job alone covered the cost of the site. The 77 pages are the site as built, across service pages, area pages, service-in-town pages, project write-ups and advice guides. These are early results, not a promise of future performance.
The short version
Where they started
Jonny had twenty years of work behind him and almost no way for anyone to find him. He had just gone out on his own after six years in a partnership. No website. No Google Business Profile. The only online presence was an old Facebook page from the partnership he had left, and he no longer had the password for it. Everything came through word of mouth and a Rated People listing.
What we did
He is Gas Safe registered, City and Guilds qualified and LPG certified, covering all of Northumberland and Newcastle: bathrooms, boilers, full heating systems and 24 hour call outs. He had already had his van branded, so we turned it into a full brand book, colours, typefaces and the graphic language, then built the website to match. What arrives on the customer's drive and what they find online look like the same business. The site runs to 77 pages, alongside a Google Business Profile set up from scratch, a lead system so every enquiry lands in one place, and tracking across phone, forms and email.
What happened next
Since launch, several enquiries have come through the site and booked themselves in, with no chasing needed. The first job alone covered the cost of the site.
The job and the patch, in one line
The hero states the job and the patch in one line, “Plumbing & heating across Northumberland & Newcastle”, followed by Get a quote and his phone number. The trade badges and his Google rating sit right underneath.
Get a quote and Call sit in the header on every page, and the homepage closes with a quote form.

Written like a person, not a firm
It is written in the first person, because customers are hiring Jonny himself, not a firm. A “Time served, not new to the tools” section carries his photo, and real project write-ups and Google reviews back it up.
The process is three steps: give me a ring, I come and look, job done.

Coverage for every local search
Service-in-town pages cover the highest-value work, boiler installs and emergency call-outs among them, so each local search has a page written to answer it.
Area pages cover Newcastle, Northumberland and the towns in between, from Morpeth and Cramlington to Hexham and Whitley Bay. Project pages show real jobs with a location for each, and advice guides answer the questions homeowners actually search, such as boiler losing pressure, combi versus system, and repair or replace.

Made for phones
Most people searching for a plumber are on a phone, often in a hurry. The mobile site keeps Call and Get a quote within reach from the first screen, with an emergency call bar fixed to the bottom.
