Free checklist and guide
Get found on Google without paying for clicks.
A one-page checklist for getting your trade business into the results under the map, plus the full 77-page guide. Honest about the six months it takes.
What's inside.
- Why a five-page trade website doesn't rank, and what Google is looking for
- The structure: service pages, area pages, and the crossover pages almost nobody builds
- What goes on a page so it's real, and the test every page has to pass
- The site basics to check once, and the 20-minute monthly routine
- What it really costs in hours, and when it isn't worth doing yourself
A page for each job you do
A single services page listing everything you do rarely shows up for anything. People search for one job at a time, so each main job wants its own page with its own heading, its own photos and its own explanation of how the work goes.
Write each page the way you would explain the job to a customer standing in their hallway: what is involved, how long it takes, what makes prices move, and what they need to decide.
A page for each town you cover
Area pages work when they are real and fail when they are copies with the town name swapped. Put jobs you have done in that town on the page, the streets or areas you know, and anything specific about the property types there.
Cover the towns you genuinely want work in. Three good area pages beat thirty thin ones, and thin ones can drag the rest of the site down with them.
Reviews and the basics
Reviews feed both the map results and the listings underneath, so the habit of asking on every job pays twice. Keep your name, number and service areas the same everywhere they appear online.
Check the plain things once: the site loads quickly on a phone, every page has a clear heading and description, photos are not enormous files, and nothing important is hidden behind a slow slideshow.
How long it takes
Nobody can honestly promise a position on Google. What is predictable is the direction: pages that answer real questions, added steadily, get picked up over months rather than weeks.
Treat it as a few hours a month, every month, alongside the work that brings enquiries today. If you cannot give it that, it is better to be honest about it and put the time into your profile and your follow-up instead.
Who it's for.
Trades who are already in the map results and want to show up in the listings underneath.
